Law enforcement officers across Colorado are out in force this weekend looking for people who are driving while impaired.
The stepped-up patrols will continue through Tuesday, citing and arresting drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The launch of the Memorial Day enforcement coincides with the start of Checkpoint Colorado, which continues through Labor Day. During that period, participating law enforcement agencies will conduct at least three DUI checkpoints.
Enforcement periods can include sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols and additional law enforcement officers on duty.
