Tyson Jost Joins the Colorado Avalanche

Tyson Jost Joins the Colorado Avalanche
|

Recently, the Colorado Avalanche added 19-year-old Tyler Jost as a new member. Jost was formerly with the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks, but he was then given the opportunity to play in the National Hockey League and, while he said it was a hard decision, he wanted to take the next step in his career.

Jost signed a 3-year, entry-level contract in March, getting to fulfill one of his childhood dreams. This good news came just 5 days after a loss in Fargo, North Dakota, at the hands of the Boston University Terriers in the NCAA West Regional.

While Jost could have stayed in Grand Forks, continuing his education and chasing the dream next season, he decided to consider the opportunity. He took some time after the season to consult with friends and family, thought about what the Avalanche presented and represented, and ultimately decided to make the leap.

Now, Jost is beginning to get his footing with his new team. Once he started practicing, the goal was to get some game action as soon as possible. However, the team is waiting on the completion of paperwork, including proper immigration documents. Before he gets to play, he has to familiarize himself with the league to be ready for next season.

If you plan on cheering on the Colorado Avalanche and their new player, stay safe out there. Orr Law Firm is a big fan of the team.
